This is Mo. He will be 4 years old in March. He is a black lab, Dalmation mix. He loves his chair.
Hubby came home one day and said that he wanted this puppy. Honestly, I wasn't thrilled. When we brought him home for the first time he cried and cried. We took him back to his mommy for a couple more weeks. When he was finally ready to live with us, we both fell in love with him. He and Duke got along pretty good.
About a week or so later, one morning, hubby came in from feeding them proclaiming that our dogs were multiplying. I thought on that a momment. Duke-boy, Mo-boy "No, honey, thats just not possible". He insisted I come out and see. Sure enough I counted 3 dogs. We recognized the third dog as a female from Mo's litter. Aparently the owners couldn't get rid of her and dropped her over our fence in the night. We named her Mia. Mo and Mia were unseperable. They played together, ate together, and slept together. Around two weeks after Mia arrived Mo got sick. He was really really sick! After several days of not eating and finally not even moving much, we took him to the vet. The first vet said he had Parvo and wouldn't make it. We were devistated! We took him to another vet and he gave us some hope. He gave us medicine and an immunization for Mia so she wouldn't get it. He said that if it didn't work and he wasn't better in a week, then he would put Mo down for us for free. We did what the vet told us and Mo was so strong. He did come out of it. He's as healthy as a horse now, except it stunted his growth. We had prepared ourselves for him to go, but he made it. It seemed that Mo and Mia would live happily ever after. Tomarrow I'll tell you about Mia.
