My husband and I feel that it is not a sin to have a drink if you enjoy it. All things in moderation. We do not think its ok to get drunk or drink infront of someone whom it might cause a stumbling block.

I agree with you about drinking. I do not drink for health reasons, and my mother would never have alcohol in the house ever. I do not think it is a sin to drink, in moderation. The problem is that some people are inclined to excess and they must avoid situations where alcohol is present.
I was raised to believe that alcohol was bad and drinking was a sin. My mother would never have it either.
I know of a young man, only 23 years old and hes an alcoholic. He thinks of nothing else but his next drink.
